Hi, my name is Amin. Welcome to my personal website. I’m a Ph.D. student at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of Texas A&M University. My research is in the area of computational and statistical physics. Our team at the high performance computing (HPC) group focuses on designing and optimizing the state of art classical and quantum algorithms to tackle NP hard problems across disciplines using techniques inspired by the physics of spin glasses. In addition, we make synthetic hard problems which are used as a test bed for gauging the performance of potential quantum architectures against classical solvers in an effort to show quantum advantage.
